We'll tackle what is perhaps the MOST controversial part of the Christian Faith: the belief that Jesus Christ was truly God in the flesh. Most people will acknowledge that Jesus was an incredibly wise teacher and wonderful moral example. Many will even honor Jesus as a great prophet or even a miracle worker. But when we reach the core Christian idea of Jesus as being God... people will begin to object. After all, it is an outrageous sounding claim. It's clear blasphemy if it's not true. This claim of deity was, in fact, the central reason the religious leaders gave for wanting to want to kill Jesus. So... is it true? Does the Bible really teach that Jesus is God? Did Jesus Himself claim to be God? If Jesus really is God - what does that mean for us today? Finally, we'll look at how this Core Christian stand shapes our daily lives.
