We’ll continue our study of the book of Daniel and the final vision of Daniel’s life. After the truly epic introduction in chapter 10 with the Angelic Hosts, and the background of the ‘Cycles of History’ in the beginning of chapter 11 – tomorrow we’ll reach Daniel’s prophecies of one of the most terrifying figures in the whole Bible: “The Willful King”… also known as the Anti-Christ.
Even people who know very little about the Bible have heard of the Anti-Christ… but few people really know what the Bible teaches about this wicked king. The Prophet Daniel gives us a lot of insight into this ‘man of sin’ and about the things that he will do… and about how he will eventually meet his doom. We’ll also look at what else the Bible has to say about the Anti-Christ, especially in the book of the Revelation. Even though this message is heavy on prophecy, we’ll see the clear challenge that rings through to us today: be ready! Knowing what’s coming in the future affects the way that we live today. Here again, we find life-giving principles that can help us today as we seek to thrive while living in Babylon.
