We're doing deep-dive on one of the hardest to understand concepts in the Bible: The Trinity. As we saw in part 3, The Bible is emphatically clear that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. But how do we square this teaching with the equally clear message of the Bible that there is only One God? This is a deeply perplexing topic with NO simple resolution. But there IS good news! We have help directly from the Words of Jesus. In John chapter 14 we can read about Jesus preparing His disciples for His coming crucifixion... and as He does that, Jesus begins to explain some things about the Nature of God and how the Trinity works. As Jesus said... "You believe in God, believe also in me." We'll examine the Trinity from a technical point of view (prepare for some 'nerdiness'!), and from a trustworthiness point of view, and always from a Biblical point of view. We'll consider the attacks on this doctrine, the practical implications of it, and the long historical Christian stand for it. Finally, we'll look at how this Core Christian stand shapes our daily lives.
